Revolutionary Extended Service solutions
By 2010, schools (in primary and special schools) are expected to
provide extended services. Also, as research carried out by Ofsted
found that arts and other learning activities can transform attitudes,
build self-esteem and encourage more effective learning. Extra-
curricular activities can also improve motivation and attendance and
have a positive impact on learning. Schools are not expected to
provide these services alone; they should work in partnership with
other schools, community organizations, agencies, signposting existing
services, etc.
Recently, I have come across TLC Kids which have spent 10+ years
developing their proven proprietary curriculum especially for extended
service offerings. Their programmes provide a perfect academic,
personal and creative balance to maintain a more long-term, sustained
approach to support learning, address motivation and standards for
primary students. For more information, visit http://www.mytlckids.com
