That's from 'Tension at Table Rock,' one of those robustly moralistic
1950s Westerns, Richard Egan doing the talking.
An underrated actor and an underrated genre, the 1950s Western.
Some have a near-Shakespearean quality, and are well worth quoting
from.

"ONCE A LIE GETS HOLD OF YOU, THERE'S ONLY ONE WAY YOU CAN GO.
AND NO MATTER HOW FAR YOU GO, YOU DON'T GET ANYWHERE,
BECAUSE YOU'RE RUNNING FROM YOURSELF."

The entire human species adopted a set of lies eleven thousand years
ago, and we've been living our lies and running from ourselves ever
since then.

Theologians call it 'The Fall of Man' and talk about a Tree of
Knowledge / Forbidden Fruit.
In fact there is no mystery to it.
The ludicrous theological symbolism is a smokescreen, deriving from
our state of collective amnesia.

The Fall was a real event, and is easy to explain. It's there in the
geological record, but we're scared of focusing our minds and seeing
it:
a catastrophic destruction of the surface of the globe occurred about
eleven thousand years ago, on such a scale of devastation as can be
explained only by instability in the orbits of the planets and one or
more major planets passing close to earth.
No known terrestrial phenomenon alone could have caused that degree of
catastrophic destruction all over the globe.
So it was a rogue planet.

And it is clear from the geological record that our ancestors had to
rely on vampirism and cannibalism for some time after the major
catastrophe.

[Hence the otherwise inexplicable Christian 'communion' ceremony,
although that is non-essential. Also, in illustrated bibles, the
'angel' or 'god' driving our ancestors from the Garden is almost
invariably placed in the sky. Non-essential but interesting.]

Next came inter-tribal wars for limited resources [promised land], as
the vegetation grew back and newly fertile river basins formed in new
locations.

And to fight and win wars, you must ration love and keep every member
of your tribe miserable and full of repressed rage. So pain-
generating, love-rationing societal arrangements were devised -
including the bizarre new practice of beating and humiliating children
- and imposed on us for the purpose of keeping us on a permanent war
footing and generating effective soldiers.

And to maintain such a state of collective imbecility, you have to
deny that any of it is happening and pretend to yourselves that there
is nothing wrong with pain-generating, love-rationing societal
arrangements, and to pretend to yourselves that this present state of
universal imbecility is the only way life can ever be lived !

That, briefly, is the simple analysis of your state of collective
mental illness.

It is beyond debate, needs no confirmation from 'experts' /
'academics,' and only an idiot or a saboteur or a *ruling group
stooge* would argue against that analysis.

I've given you that simple and clear analysis of your tragic
condition.
And I've shown you the simple, long-term healing formula toward which
that simple analysis points.

You don't want to know about it.
You don't want to heal.
You don't want to end human suffering.

And that brings us back to the words spoken by Richard Egan in that
classic 1950s Western morality tale:

....and neatly sums up the strange events going on around you today,
bewildering to you, but easily explainable in terms of the simple
analysis I have offered to you.

is about and how to end human suffering.
In fact, our civilisation is structured in such a way that governments
and "educators" are condemned to oppose healing, as their power and
wealth depend on the prevention of healing.
