I have in the past avoided travelling over Bank Holiday weekends, as a result of Mr Bollen's useful and well-researched warnings about traffic levels. No such warning was posted prior to this last Bank Holiday, however, and I therefore assumed it would be safe to travel. How wrong could I have been? I got stuck ...
