Should I do this?
Wed, 04 Mar 2009 16:47:44 +0000
I've been thinking of getting into a bath of hot water, drinking a bottle of
Scotch and taking a razor blade to my wrists.
Should I do it?

VoIP and wireless networking
Tue, 3 Mar 2009 13:53:33 -0800 (PST)
I am considering running my VoIP system on the far side of a wireless
link. i.e. My internet service comes thru a cable interface into
which I plug a router with wireless capability. I plan to use a
remote wireless bridge into which I will plug my TPAs/ATAs.
Does anyone know if I should anticipate any issue ...

Cheapest (good) cable router with dual channel FSX port and QoS
Fri, 27 Feb 2009 11:34:10 +0000
Hi all,
Please can someone advise me on the above?
I think I have the terminology correct, apologies if not. Essentially I
want a cable router with QoS and to be able to plug a standard phone in
which will receive calls on one service (Sipgate) but make outgoing
calls on another (voipcheap).
I don't car ...

Because you are not seeing anything on the red, microphone
indicator. Try this: call 000393613 again and after the ...

Problem (I think) with C475IP and firewall
23 Feb 2009 10:57:01 GMT
I *seem* to have a problem with my Siemens C475IP and my Draytek Vigor
2820n firewall. I suspect I may be suffering from the effects of
changing things and forgetting how they might affect the VOIP.
I have recently changed to using dnsmasq in my Linux box for DNS and
DHCP, this has various advantages for me, th ...

Is it possible to use a 2700HGV as an ATA without DSL?
Sat, 21 Feb 2009 11:49:46 +0000
Hi all,
Apologies if this is an obscure question.
I have a 2700HGV which is used purely as a WAP at the moment on a
network connected to VirginMedia cable.
I have gone through the 'hidden' screens to setup a Sipgate account on
this and can ping the Sipgate server from the box however when trying to
conf ...

Easy way to use analog telephone, FX0 card & sipgate?
Sat, 21 Feb 2009 07:37:21 +0100
Hey guys,
is there an easy way to use an FX0 card and software as a substitute for
an ATA?
I've heard about Asterisk; the thing is I'm running XP, plus I don't
want to spend a few days getting into Asterisk if there's a piece of
software that'll do it all for me.
Cheers
