had my first death - although I never actually saw Peter after he
passed away.
We were having handover and the morning staff simply said Peter
X, has just this minute passed away - it just seemed so casually

Help!!!... My hands are cracking up!

Hi there!
I've just started a placement in a immunology/infectious diseases ward, in a
children hospital. The handwashing is non-stop, so by the end of the shift
my hands are red raw...please, help! Does anyone knows of a super handcream?
I will really appreciate any tips.

Venous leg ulcers and elevation.

A relative has chronic venous leg ulcers, one on each leg. Elevation
is apparently highly recommended. I am looking for information on ways
to elevate the limb(s), bearing in mind that these wounds are painful,
and that my relative's general mobility is poor, due to other
complaints, and to being overweight.

Hi all!
I was just doing a little research online and came across starting
salaries for nursing online. It said the UK starting was only ¡ê18-23k
- is that right? Is that because it's NHS and private nursing pays
more?
