Nature, not fake conservation
Tue, 14 Jul 2009 00:17:50 +0100
Dear Sir
Joshua Perry's claim that Formby's red squirrels are fighting back
seems more like trying to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. The
culling of grey squirrels has been going on for years and it is only
recently that the red squirrel population has declined by up to 90%,
that to normal people - othe ...

Quango Dictatorship
Sun, 12 Jul 2009 23:07:45 +0100
Over the past couple of years controversial decisions have been taken
by Scottish Natural Heritage backed by government in respect of
reintroducing native species like the beaver and culling "aliens" such
as the grey squirrel based on the "Species Action Framework" which had
a three month "public consultation" ena ...

getting Brimstone butterflies to colonise the area where they had been
occasionals, and we appear to have at least partially got a positive
result.
I regret that ...

Unfair persecution
Thu, 02 Jul 2009 19:38:01 +0100
The decline in the red squirrel population is following a pattern. In
the Isle of Wight, where there are virtually no grey squirrels, and on
Merseyside, where killing greys has been going on for years, there has
been a drastic decline ? as much as 90 per cent ? in the red squirrel
populations through disease.

Labour use another BNP policy, ?Local homes for Local people? says PM
Mon, 29 Jun 2009 12:20:22 -0700 (PDT)
Gordon Brown is to try to win back Labour?s core supporters with a
pledge to give priority on housing waiting-lists to local residents.
A proposal to require councils to take account of applicants?
connections to the area when allocating homes is central to a policy
blueprint. The populist measure risks reviving ...

Fifty two reasons to leave the EU

Interesting email received today.
Fifty two reasons to leave the EU
We joined the EU (EEC) in 1972. After 36 years inside we now know:
1. The European Union?s six constitutional treaties build a
dictatorship.
2. The EU has the laws of a police state - enforced after the Lisbon
Treaty, from 1st January 2009. ...
