I know that the Foxfield Railway in Staffordshire has a real ale bar
but recently it was advertising 'real ale trains' on its website.

Humorous oddity in Wetherspoon's Beer List

There are no Australian beers in the current Wetherspoon's Beer
Festival. But the nooklet that accompanies it features at least two
Aussie flags. It's obvious that someone mixed up Oz & New Zealand
flags at some point. And I don't think Tim Martin would like that. ...

apparently The Sun at Leintwardine, a famous classic unspoilt pub has
not only been saved from the risk of closure, change of use, etc, but
the consortium involved in buying it includes the chap behind the
excellent Hobson's Brewery.

Birkenhead Beer Festival tickets?

If anyone is thinking about a last minute trip - I spoke to some of
the organisers tonight,Friday is sold out, but there's still tickets
left for Saturday, should be fine for paying on the door, or tickets
will be at The Stork, Price Street until Sat afternoon.

Had an excellent evening last night at the St Peter's pub in Clerkenwell
(near Farringdon tube).
I don't get hung up on dispense systems, but out of interest, anyone know
how it works here? The GBG says handpump, but the tiny size of the bar makes
me doubt there has ever been a hand pump here. A quick glance ...
