Mynydd Du, Bannau Sir Gaer Scramble Route?
Sun, 27 Sep 2009 02:19:42 -0700 (PDT)
Hello
On a recent expedition to Mynydd Du in the Brecon Beacons we summitted
Bannau Sir Gaer. Along this redge there appears to be a couple of
scrambe routes up some gullies from the lake.
Does anyone know if these are scramble routes and if so what grade are
they?
Please see my picture for more detail:

Dogs - or perhaps their owners (Penyghent)
Sat, 26 Sep 2009 18:42:27 +0100
I had a quick trip up Penyghent this morning. At the bottom of the Big
End (near the junction of the path up from Bracken Bottom and the
Pennine Way), I passed a pair of walkers with a dog. The dog seemed to
want to chase me up the Big End (owners about 20-30 yards behind). When
I got towards the scrambly b ...

Penyghent Cafe, Horton-in-Ribblesdale: Winter closing
Sat, 26 Sep 2009 18:29:26 +0100
I understand that the venerable caff in Horton may again be having a
winter closing from early November to Boxing Day. So if you are
thinking of planning a walk which involves said caff around that time,
you may care to check dates & opening etc. ...

Carrying a camara
Sat, 26 Sep 2009 17:58:15 +0100

The bag can either be carried by a detachable strap or on the back is a
single belt loop.
Up until today I have always carried the camera fastened onto the waist

Phil C + Martin R -> Old Glen Coe expedition question.
Wed, 23 Sep 2009 23:35:59 +0100
This mountain man program has got me looking at possible tops I might have
done but not logged. I was just wondering if we bagged the top, Beinn
a'Bheithir - Sgorr Bhan on the Glen Coe expedition. I remember the steep
part leading up, but not the actual top.
