Just in case you're still working with an older OS map and are
being tempted into designing a route that incorporates the ferry
across Loch Broom, be advised that it no longer exists. It hasn't
actually existed for about 5 years now but the signs have only just
been put up this year.

I've recently come back from a holiday in Turkey visiting Cappadocia, the
Taurus Mountains and Mount Ararat. The Taurus Mountains are spectacularly
jagged - they are only about 60 million years old. We climbed Mount
Embler, which at 3723 m is the second-highest peak in the region after

The questions concerns routes taking in Crag Fell, Grike and Lank Rigg.
1. Is there a 'recognisable' route up to Crag Fell, maybe along Ben Gill,

Memory map help pls

If I open a map in Memory Map how do I get rid of it without deleting it
from whence it was loaded please? If I simply delete the map it also
deletes it from the file I had stored it in.

Does anyone have any recommendations for an altimeter watch?
I particularly want one that is reasonably small, all the ones I've
seen are quite a large block on your wrist.
