I read once about a case where a used car was bought with a new MOT.
The axle collapsed on the car shortly after due too rust.
It was successfully shown that the extent of the rust meant it should
not have been given an MOT some weeks earlier.

What's your take on this one chaps? It seems all very strange and harsh
to me.
If it's all true, find a gun, take it to police station to hand in, get
arrested for illegal possession of said gun, jailed for a
strict-liability offense.
