Any way to buy a proportion of a property?
Mon, 6 Oct 2008 07:08:09 -0700 (PDT)
Hi!
Cutting a long story very short; we'd like to buy 80% (¡ê200k) of a
property, with the current owner retaining 20% (¡ê50k) share.
We have ¡ê70k cash to put down but will any mortgage provider entertain
the idea of lending us ¡ê130k in this situation where current vendor
retains an interest in the property?

Getting Sainsbury's to refund the difference
Sun, 05 Oct 2008 15:45:59 +0100

course). Today I noticed that it's been reduced to 279. I can return the
notebook within 28 days of purchase (the leaflet says for 'faulty'
products, but I was told ...

living off the interest, as I am unable to work, since I am looking
after an elderly parent which ties me up 7 days a week. The only
income I ...

Capital Gains Tax & Double Glazing
Fri, 03 Oct 2008 15:14:44 +0100
I'm completing my CGT return in connection with the sale last year of my
late Mother's property. I had always assumed that the cost of double
glazing for this property, (which was done in the years 2000 to 2002),
being a capital expenditure, would be allowable in reducing the tax
payable. However, a recent call to ...
