Hello Group!
As you may know, the original engine in my 1303 suffered from knocking
bearings so I have bought a decent AR-code 1300 to replace it with.
The original engine was an AR-code 1300 that a previous owner fitted
1641 barrels and pistons too, along with a progressive Weber, new
heads and a Monza 4-tip e ...

Hot engine and difficult to tune

The original 30PICT-1 carburettor in my 1966 1300 was leaking from the
throttle shaft. It hasn't been running right for quite some time, and
was getting low MPG. Now my 1303 is out of action, I need to get this
sorted!
The replacement 30PICT-1 carburettor was pulled from a 1972ish Beetle

As you may have read in my previous post, the engine in my 1303 is
suffering from knocking bearings, so is technically dead. As the car
is a daily driver, the quickest, and more importantly - the cheapest -
solution is to get a secondhand engine and swap them over.
