I'm planning on building a remote start on my bug. I push a button on a
remote and it starts. I dont want to install those ready to install kits. I
want to build it myself. I have experience with electronic stuff since I has
a kid and built myself all the devices to home automate my house, and

Gearbox jam

Hi,
I've found that after a longish (hour +) drive, when I stop the car it
sometimes jams in gear and is very tough to get it to pop out of gear
again. I've had a new clutch recently but experienced the same
problem before the change. Sometimes the only way I can get it to
pop out of gear is to push the car ...

Broken Speedometer Cable

Hi, yesterday on my way to work the speedometer stopped working on my 69
Beetle. I unscrewed the end of the speedometer and pulled at the cable
inside. When I removed the entire cable, I found one end sheared off.
As far as I am aware, the other end should be firmly in place inside the
wheel with the other end ...
