Still doing my 1303....not really been doing too much until recently but i
need to get it moving again (so i can get an Oval too ;) The powers that be
dictate...

Hi guys,
What are the widest wheels I can put on a '68 Type 1, without needing
spacers
etc,
The car is lowered on an adjustable front axel, standard at back.

I've recently brought my 1st VW van. I've done some research on it and
have found that its a Kombi - What does this mean?
Also the VIN, starting 235, tells me that the van should have the following
- Cargo doors right, sunroof, left hand drive. Well mines is RHD, no
sunroof and cargo doors on both sides ...

suspect some merc ones go straight on: heard a rumour audi A4 ones will,

I currently own 2 t25 air-cooled campers, one of which is converted to run
on LPG. This van was running ok on a single carb (Webber), however someone
said that it would run a lot better with the original twin carb set up so I
put the twin carbs from the other engine (Which was running perfectly) onto
my lpg ...

Here's a handy tip that you may already know,
Always try to keep the cooling fins clear of old leaves and dust, it will
help prevent overheating when traversing the desert. (not that you get many
leaves in the desert but hey...)

Pre 71 to 72 steering wheel conversion.

Quick question I forgot to ask yesterday....
I have been given a really good condition 70/71 steering wheel,
unfortunately my bug is 72 and I can't install it without a converter clip
or ring.
Does anybody know where i can get one of these converters from?
