OT: British driving roads
Sun, 25 Oct 2009 22:04:36 -0000
Me and the missus have been talking about holidays next year and I think
we've decided to see a bit of our own country rather than going abroad.
We're hopefully going to do this in a few parts, but one aspect will be a
driving holiday. A rough plan is drive up the West side (possibly via
Wales) as far as Manc ...

Watching last weeks Something for the Weekend because Seasick Steve was
on.
He gave his little cigar box guitar a good strumming.
Been looking into home made string instruments and I love them, I quite
fancy knocking myself up a basic Cigar Box Guitar and getting back into
playing, even though my school guit ...

Week in Sharm, lightly browned, not cheap in the town, but went AI so
not bothered, stayed at the hotel. Didn't go near Pachaa as even the
Camel Bar was about 110 egyptian (about ¡ê12-13 for a couple of drinks).
Those who got fed up of the AI buffet and visited Maccy's claimed you
could get two large meals for ...

OT: Ebay whinge
Sun, 18 Oct 2009 10:30:04 +0100
Has Ebay become a complete waste of time for flogging stuff? There seems to
be a far higher idiot to decent bidder ratio since the new feedback rules
came in...
I've recently listed a load of textbooks - the postage is limited at ¡ê2.75
by the rules, which has no chance of paying for the postage on an average ...

Sun, 18 Oct 2009 10:29:56 +0100
A good mateof mine is selling his supercharged MX5. I was half thinking
about buying this in the new year if I decided to get something cheaper, but
it's a bit too early for me to commit to now.

UK Usenet Committee
Sun, 18 Oct 2009 01:15:52 +0100
Quelle surprise. The trouble-making tossers who post to
uk.rec.psycholing are trying to whitewash the committee vote this year.
If you give a damn abut uk usenet it's a good idea to keep an eye on
uk.net.news.announce, and uk.net.news.management.
If anyone can be arsed to overcome the attempted take over nominat ...
