TSI Engines - Any Good?

Are TSI engines any good? Has anyone got a VW or anything with one?
I'm just wondering if they can be chipped or tuned to get more hp out
of them should you need it e.g. like you can with a TDI?
I've just got a 1.6 petrol Megane (115hp) at the moment [dreadful car]
and want to stick to petrol but with more hp, b ...

Ye olde golf excels at being happy in a high gear.
I'm not saying that a big block v8 has anything to worry about, but it'll
happily pull from 6-700rpm in 5th gear.
I feel that the older I get, the lower I want to rev the engine. I must do

We're in the damp bit in the middle of Scotland so Bodmin and Benfleet are
