I have a '69 MGB Roadster project car that I am slowly restoring. The fuel pump makes an awful racket (tappity-tappity-tappity) constantly and I would like it to stop. i had this one in for a tune up a few weeks ago 20k only on the clock rust proofed from new the only mod is the wheels.the guy who bought it has turned down twice the money he paid,what do you value it at?.pictures are on alt.binaries.pictures.auto .he does not want to sell it so dont ask. ...

Any rule of thumb for head tightening torques for a 1932 F type ? There are 14 bolts of 5/16 dia, because of the valve gear an open ended spanner is best to use, so the sort of torque would be "turn by half a flat after tight, or two flats etc. You know the sort of thing. ttfn.....Alistair ...

I intend to take the car over to France this summer and we will be pulling a trailer, this will help the braking a little. Firstly where is the best place to put it where it will not be obstructing me too ...
