Revs can be erratic when idle

I'm totally stomped. I have an MGF N reg. When accelerating hard so
the revs are high and then immediately disengaging the clutch my
engine gets stuck at high revs for 2-4 seconds. Also when starting my
car the revs can either go too high or nothing at all forcing me to
accelerate to prevent stalling. Any advice w ...

Midget Fuel Tank - Pipe corrosion

Hi,
I've had the same issue now on two fuel tanks that I've had on my 1275
'73 Midget.
Essentially the issue seems to be the pipe corroding through at the
join to the tank. Does anyone have any experience resolving this? Are
there any options other than buying (another) tank?
I'm tempted to try to fit a more rob ...

Temp Problems

I have an MGF 1.8 which recently has had the head gasket replaced. The car
runs 100% but the oil pressure goes passed the 120 mark and then if
accelerate it cuts out. If you then stop and start the engine it is fine
again. Temp gauge does not go up. No oil/water mixture. Oil perfectly
clean. My thoughts are it may ...

MGF - Auto transmission warning light on at start up - Ok when driving.

My MGF does very little mileage and spends a long time parked up. When
I first start it up, the yellow auto transmission light comes on after
a short delay, and stops on until I engage gear nd move off. So far it
has not come on during a trip or gone into limp mode.
This a a fairly low mileage MGF (22,000).

MGB - No spark

Hi. I've just fitted my refurbished engine - but no spark. Replaced coil
(twice), fitted new electronic distributor, leads, plugs. Have 11.8v
going into coil. Occaisionally get one spark immediately upon starting to
turn over, then nothing.
Before I torch the car, I'd appreciate any ideas.

Wheel bearing grease cap

Anyone know of an easy way to remove these out of the hub so I can finish
disassembly? One had a nuy on the stud and I removed it with a coat hanger
wrapped around it and a dent puller, other side not being as kind I'm
afraid....

Starting problems

when the engine is cold the starter engages and starts however afer the engine is warm the starter clicks like the battery is dead. checked the battery and it is holding a 100 per cent charge. any help would be appreciated
