No more MG enthusiasts??
Thu, 9 Jul 2009 09:49:20 -0400
Are MG enthusiasts extinct here? This group sucketh ye big one, and seems
to be more concerned with flogging Chinese knockoff watches etc. than
actually dealing with anything of interest to we poor misguided souls who
still enjoy tinkering with leaky, anti-social old Brit cars.

They regularly post lists of cool things. The link here is for most
beautiful Land Speed Record vehicles. The MG EX-181 is actually listed
twice. It would be nice to see it with more than the total of 9 votes it
currently has........

Wed, 20 Aug 2008 15:30:38 -0400
Hi Ho-
I put an electric tach in a '61 MGA. Worked ok for a yr but then
gradually seemed to die. Since then, it stays mostly dead except for
an occassional blip where the needle bounces a few times then goes
dead again. Is there a way to check my wiring (should be ok)
or rebuild the unit?
thanks,

Tue, 01 Jul 2008 08:03:55 -0800
Is it possible to remove the number one piston without pulling the

I had blue smoke filling the engine compartment, rough idle and low
power. The back 3 cylinders were all 155lbs but the front one was 90.
It came up 5 lbs with a spoon of oil added. Re-torquin ...
