Why does mondeo rev on its own when turning full lock?
Thu, 12 Nov 2009 16:54:39 -0800 (PST)
Revs up to about 2000 rpm for a moment and then drops down again. The
moment you try to move it shoots up again. Still does it if you move
off with a bit of accelerator or none at all. Very difficult at
monuvering speeds. ...

Mitsubishi Colt, where the service handbook only gives the checks after the
first 600 miles, and the only workshop manual available (Russek, not Haynes)

less than 1000 miles. Asked for some help since he's got a problem in one
hand.

Took it to an independent tyre place and they put it in a bath, it
showed a leak from the rim. They painted the interior edge of the rim
with some black stuff, refitted and rebalanced ...
