Re: MG midget steering dilemna

My failing memory just recalled that my brother had a Sprite many years ago,
similar age to this, and his rack literally snapped cleanly in two inside
the casing, luckily at slow speed and close to home.

At what point is a vehicle a vehicle?
Sun, 04 Jan 2009 13:12:09 +0000
In light of another thread in uk.legal about an unlicenced car, a
question has occurred to me - when does a collection of parts become a
car for the purposes of road tax (or, more appropriately, SORN)? I have
a car purchased middle of last year that is in midst of a rebuild, it
has a registration number and is ...

Rear Main Journal Flange

Hi Guys&Gals,
Does anyone know where i might find a Rear Main Journal Flange for a
1929 ohc Morris Minor.
It's the original parallel type with a keyway. In 1930 they improved
the design and made them with a tapered flange which never wore out,
but i need the earlier type (which does, even though it took nearly 8 ...

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
drugs began to take hold. I remember "Geoff Mackenzie"
<gmac@chapterfive.org.uk> saying something like:

Bugatti found
Fri, 2 Jan 2009 11:32:41 -0000
Copied from alt.binaries.pictures.auto.
I hope this is true and not another case of "the unknown cars in the
Portugese shed". So, keep looking in the old garages and sheds, you never
know your luck. All I ever found in a collapsed garage was an MG 1100.

Rover P6 base unit / shell going spare
Mon, 27 Oct 2008 15:12:59 +0000
Having just stripped down my donor car (1973 Rover P6 2000TC) ready to
haul off to the scrapyard, I can't help feeling that it's rather a
waste. While it does need the odd patch in the usual places, it's
nowhere near as rusty as I'd thought.
So if you're struggling to restore a terminally rusty 4-cyl P6 and are ...
