Hi,
I'm trying to write a system that allows files to be downloaded from a
document server if the user is authorised.

TFL congestion charge website doesn't work in IE8

On my machine, the sign-in link at the top works fine in Firefox 3 and
Chrome, but not in IE8, with or without "compatibility mode". Anyone
else see the same? Why would this happen?

IE background image drop/load

Got an old IE problem back on my case.
Large BG image disa/re-appears between navigation. I had this on building of
website foundry but stopped it by listing the image in the preload script
but this time IE just won't play ball.
How the hell do you tell a browser that a (background) image needs to stay?

Zebra striped list

This isn't the first time I've made a list with zebra striped lists. I've
previously set a class for each BGcolor and classed the tags one by one.
Anyone know a way to do this without classing each LI tag, maybe with pseudo
classes?

Searching for favicons

Recently I keep finding that the error log of my website has filled up with
"file not found" errors, as people (or bots?) trawl my every subdirectory
looking for a favicon (.ico or .gif) file in that subdirectory. I have one
in the root directory which has always worked OK.
Is this evidence of attempted hacki ...

Traffic lull

Traffic on my site has gone RIGHT DOWN past couple of days. Is anyone else
seeing this? I was thinking maybe it's because of the Easter holidays. I'm
still doing okay in SERPs.

Sick of complicated workarounds

I want to centre a block of content on a page.
You'd think it was simple, you'd think it was something that people
would want to do all the time. But for IE, oh no.
Easy peasy way:
Stick everything in a single cell table, CSS it margin: auto and away
you go.
