To the moderators of uk.legal.moderated
Mon, 1 Jun 2009 12:21:36 +0100
I thought it best to make this announcement in this group, since some of the
moderators are inactive at the moment and their email addresses may have
changed. Of course, anyone else may feel free to comment on the contents.
I propose two new rules for the moderation team. On past form, I don't
suppose everyo ...

Changes to Gradwell usenet services
Mon, 01 Jun 2009 10:16:10 +0100
hello
The Gradwell usenet infrastructure is being replaced with a service from
readnews.com as we don't have the skills & time to maintain it properly.
We are committed to maintaining a working usenet service and supporting
the uk usenet infrastructure, even if we don't run it on boxes in the uk.

Electric fences stall modbot
Sat, 16 May 2009 19:50:45 +0000 (UTC)
Don Aitken's professed attempt to cancel my posts on electric fences
seems to have resulted in a failure of moderation! Perhaps due to the
obvious inequity in cancelling posts made hours ago while current OT
posts flood in from whitelisted posters. Perhaps it is best to
announce a thread is off-topic and blo ...

u.l.m and Virgin
Fri, 15 May 2009 00:40:29 GMT
Virgin outsourced their Usenet servers.
They still have a text server. THIS WORKS for u.l.m
The bunny server went to highwinds. THIS DOES NOT WORK for u,l.m.
Highwinds are incompetent and have not set up the moderation stuff
correctly. It's an OEM service, thus I'm left to try and communicate
with VM, w ...

Fri, 17 Apr 2009 16:01:13 +0100
How do other people feel about the asides provided by a mod in recent
ulm rejections?
I quite like them, I hope that mod can keep up.

Why are postings awaiting moderation showing a delay of blank?
Tue, 31 Mar 2009 15:49:54 +0100
C'mon mods, the fact is that the mod bot status as shown at
http://moderation.org.uk/3display_history_output.php
isn't accurate.
A number of people have a null "Delay Mins".
If you think about it for a minute (arf, arf) you will see that cannot
be true.
60 seconds pass.
RichardA, it isn't fixed yet.

uk.l.m mods: does Daniel G know his post has been rejected?
Tue, 31 Mar 2009 14:33:31 +0100
man-reject-831351eniom
says a post has been rejected.
I can understand why if I give the rejecter a bit of room.
What I'd like to know is: has Daniel G been informed of the rejection or
not?
