Strange fault BBC2Wales

Just discovered that my attempt to record the Incredible Human Journey
on BBC2 tonight failed - this is due to an error message - "No
satellite signal being received"
This is on channel 102 - BBC2 Wales, Al, the other channels appear to
be fine, including Ch's 989, 990 & 992 which all carry the other
versions o ...

I'm expecting an installation of an ordinary Sky digibox, realise that
I'll get whatever's on the van and suppose that they're all much of a
muchness nowadays.
However, are there any brands/badges that should be avoided? Remembering
that the Panasonic DSB-30 was once a favoured tuner for certain purposes ...

I had no problems, I have the series link and after the first episode the
red light went out for a fraction then came back on and continued recording
the second one.
Saturday afternoon is my time for watching Bones and CSI which I've recorded
in the week. <g>
