How come when the country is officially in suffering deflation Sky think
they can put their prices up?
Well I'm afraid I've had as much as I can take.
My old Sky+ box is ill, I can't afford a new TV and a HD+ box.

Hi,
Is there a specific telephone number to call when changing one sky+ box to
another. I know the card has to be authorized when changing boxes from sky.
Is there any other procedure required?

The wife made me buy her a Samsung LE37B551 A6W XXU telly last week.
DVD player, surround sound.
We have the Sky ordinary box thing. I don't get to watch much telly.
Everything works on the Sky remote control apart from the volume control.
Code needed.
Rang Sky support, the guy was very good. I tried every code ...

To get the upgrade epg on hd sky does the set have to be plugged in to the
phone line and should it be left on at the mains or standby for it to work.

Over the past few days I've lost my Sky 3 (says sub needed) with my FTV card
all others (five etc) are OK. My mate has the same setup and is getting Sky
3. Any ideas please

Sky Cabling standards question.

Which begs the question - does Sky or their sub-contractors operate to
a set of published standards? If they do then, I sincerely doubt if
they follow them religiously.
Would any one know what the Sky standard is? e.g. does it specify
shrink-wrap tubing and the use of silicone gel at the lNB end?

VBI text not working

I have a recent Amstrad Sky Digibox (not HD, not +) connected to a
Panasonic plasma set. No matter what channel the Sky box is tuned to, I
can't ever get anything but a blank screen when I select text on the TV
set. This is on all channels, including those that carry VBI text (CNN,

Sky HD Volume Level

OK, I'm probably being a numpty here, but I've been all through the new
menu system and cannot find how to set the output volume level. I'm sure
the installer set it, but I can't see where.
