All,
Ive read a lot of discussion on this about wireless v wired burglar
alarms but I think I need a combination of the 2. I dont seem to be
able to find a system that quite matches my requirements. I will be
fitting the alarm myself so it needs to be relatively simple, though

Carrying CCTV signal over house wiring using Homeplug

Would it be possible to run a CCTV signal over the house wiring using a
Homeplug. Say got 2 BNC to RJ45 balun adapter - put CCTV on adapter and
then run CAT5 cable from adapter to Homeplug. At the other end would be
another Homeplug, CAT5 cable going to another adapter and then BNC connected
to recording dev ...

Home CCTV starter kit

Would like to get a very basic daylight B&W CCTV starter kit for home
use, mainly to monitor and record visits from various dodgy door-step
salesmen and conmen.
I've seen simple ones at Argos, etc. Anybody used these?
One problem, my TV only has a single scart socket, which is already
