nowadays dumbed down to such an extent that the adverts are now more
intellectually stimulating.

Adverts on 'five' from Winter Hill

From Winter Hill, the adverts on 'five' analogue are often different to the
Freeview ones.
Is this intentional, or is one carrying the wrong five region?

I'm now picking up the BBC channels (at 800+) from Kent, me being 16
miles NNE of Crystal Palace.
CP gives me 90% signal quality.
800+ channels come up as Network: Kent (ID 3011) Signal Strength 10%
with Bit error level 5. Is that Bluebell hill?
I'm amazed to actually get a picture with that. ...

Have been listening to Radio 3/4 on Freesat TV. The logo page which appears
has a clock at the bottom - currently it is running about 1.75 h ahead of
real time. Very good from our time keepers

I have friends in the North West who have a group C/D (green plug)
aerial. Recent new WF100 downlead. Excellent signal strength and quality
10 from Winter Hill.

Power surge suppressor ?

Got collared to go TV shopping with the sister. Got most of the chat but
the last sales pitch was a power suppressor - because flat screens are
so much more susceptible than CRTs - at the princely sum of ¡ê99! If
they are that poor, surely it's time the manufacturers did something
about it. Is this sound advic ...

Missing Sat Channels

I suddenly find that I've lost lots of channels on my Humax Freesat box.
A quick check shows that they're on transponders, 41, 45, 47.
My daughter told me last night to say she had lost all Sky channels, and
a friend I visited yesterday has intermittent loss of Sky signal.
Is this likely to be a coincidence ...
