OT: Will need Scart Splitter I guess

Freeview scart output goes to Video Recorder. Then another scart from Video
Recorder to TV.
When I turn off the Video Recorder, which most often needs to be off, to
save power, the colours loose their brilliancy.
I guess I need a scart splitter. I was thinking about a Belcom one thinking
it will be quality ...

Last Saturday, there was a definite problem with five on FreeView: the
picture had frozen (in a sort of sync-bar inspection position, i. e.
with a big cross on the screen), whereas the sound was continuing as
usual. I could switch to another channel, then back, and it was the
same.
