I actually typed Poluter in the subject which is not too far off the
mark considering what he was wearing today.
As Peter Allis said, to get away with that outfit you need to be 5
under not 5 over.
What is the betting he rings in sick tomorrow
Looks good on the course but I would like to see some wind tomor ...

Jamie Donaldson hard done by?
Wed, 15 Jul 2009 00:57:30 +0100
Was anyone else puzzled by the incident in the Scottish Open involving Jamie
Donaldson.
His ball was just off the green after two strokes, just hanging on at the
top of a slope. Lee Westwood played his second shot, his ball disturbed
Donaldson's ball, and both balls rolled to the bottom of the slope about 20

Slicer looking for easy solution
Mon, 13 Jul 2009 14:55:20 +0100
I am a 25 handicap player with a built-in slice of monumental
proportions.
Two years ago, my club pro, who has now left the area, ordered for me an
offset, closed face driver of what I believe was 14¡ã loft. It made the
game playable for me and I've never enjoyed the game more. I'm hitting
up to about 200 yar ...

What does par really mean some of these days
Mon, 13 Jul 2009 08:11:35 -0400
In the John Deere Classic that finished yesterday, the player in last place
(65th) was on one over - the only player in the field who was not under par
after 72 holes.
The 36 hole cut was at three under. This player dropped all of four strokes
in the final 36 holes to finish last - the player in 64th place, t ...

Lining up behind putter - bad etiquette
Sun, 12 Jul 2009 11:37:30 -0700 (PDT)
I know that it is considered bad etiquette to stand behind a player or
opposite hi/her if you have to play a similar putt.
Does it actually breach any rules. I have looked at Rule 8 (advice)
and cannot see anything.
I occasionally play with someone who does this and would like to
advise her about it but don't w ...

Ladies Handicap Rules - General Play Cards
Fri, 10 Jul 2009 16:47:40 +0800
Can anyone please let me know the rules now around submission of cards for
handicap purposes in general play rather than competitions? Is it still
possible to do this and if so, how are decisions made about handicap
reductions?
Thanks.

Wed, 8 Jul 2009 00:40:25 -0700 (PDT)
I was wondering if the experts on this forum could help with a
software problem. I run a golf society and would like to display the
competition results on a PC screen like the TV Leaderboards. I would
like this to happen dynamically..i.e. on a dual display system have
one screen for input and the other for display ...
