Yesterday four of us had struggled through the wind and we reached the

The 18th has a relatively narrow gap between trees leading to the
fairway. We looked to the right hand side and saw ...

Flagstick interferes with play
Fri, 27 Mar 2009 08:43:13 -0000
Hi all. An incident that happened to me yesterday, which no one felt
qualified to pronounce upon. Can somebody comment please?

and as we played our second shots up to the green we noticed that it was
leaning at an angle of 45 degrees, the ...

What happened next?

Replacing
Mon, 23 Mar 2009 02:29:25 -0700 (PDT)
Player's ball is resting between cup and flagstick, part above and
part below ground level, therefore not holed. Player lifts the ball
from that position. Ball is therefore still in play and a one stroke

that the ball may com ...

The Principle Golf Power Swing Tip Has Nothing To Do With Trying To
Hit It W..
Sat, 14 Mar 2009 20:07:39 -0700 (PDT)
Genuine golf power swing tips will have little or nothing to do with a
golfer trying to hit the ball with all their strength. This is
frequently attempted by some golfers with poor results and sometimes
only leads to injury.
Neither will a good golf power swing tip have anything to do with the

Plugged Balls
Through the green a ball that is embedded in its own pitch mark in the
ground may be lifted without penalty, cleaned and dropped as near
possible to where it lay not nearer the hole. The ball when dropped
must first strike a part of the course through the green. If the ball
was in a
hazard then i ...

Obtuse ruling
Sat, 14 Mar 2009 12:44:28 -0700 (PDT)
The discussion group appears to have disappeared so here is an attempt

Malcolm, David, First name last name. etc. ( and maybe interest some
others)
This afternoon we were playing a winter competition which was a four
man team Stableford where tw ...
