I've just looked at Weatherwatchers outlook
for the next 7 days.- wet and windy every day.
We'll just have to batten down the hatches
and stay in the dry and warm.
My extra heating allowance has arrived so
it's not such a bad outlook after all.

Win Update ... help!

Win XP I have.
Windows Update keeps telling me I need a .net update - sixty-something MB!!!
OK, it won't let me tell it to go away so before I can get the 2 updates I
want I *have* to have that. So, I set it off and it d/ls it very fast, the
speed is impressive, then it starts to install it.

I've been having a look round the cameras before it gets too dark to see
much. Are the cage-like things around the bottom of the tree on this webcam
rat traps? There's enough of them! Pied Piper of Perth needed :-)

Silcone translucent sealant

Yesterday, SWMBO dropped the gun, with the tube of silicone sealant in, on
the living room carpet while going from the kitchen out to the
conservatory. Some of the sealant landed on the carpet. She thought she had
got it all off but today there is a horrible stain and dried-on sealant on
the carpet.
Any ideas how ...

my appointment came up yesterday to speak with my No 1 son, so I asked about
AVG, can I dump it and use ,say, Avast, or what does he advise.
he tells me that AVG have installed a repair patch to rectify the problems
gained on the last update, self installing.
