I've just started reading a book ( I won't mention it just in case the
author reads this ng!) and I'm getting very frustrated with the very many
(sometimes pages and pages and pages) of footnotes. They "explain" the
background and history of parts of the story but to be honest, I could enjoy
the book without a ...
