Delivery by hand - strange business model?

I bought an item last week for ¡ê15 where the seller was offering free
delivery by hand to anywhere in the UK.
I thought this was a little odd , but sure enough it was left on my doorstep
at 7am on the day he promised, and I was at least 90 minutes drive from his
location.
Postage would have been at least a ...
