OT: The State WithInto the West - thoughts?
5 Nov 2006 11:10:49 +0000
Very interested to hear people's thoughts on Torchwood, I sort of feel
more like watching the third one now, which is probably part of the point
of a newsgroup like this....
Anyway, did anybody see The State Within? This was, I think, quite
impressive, although I had BIG problems keeping track of what the he ...

Torchwood - thoughts?
2 Nov 2006 19:16:40 +0000
So what do you reckon on Torchwood?
I've only really managed to drum up the enthusiasm to watch 2 of the
episodes so far, I watched the second last night mainly because I didn't
have anything else to do. I pretty much make it a rule to give any TV SF a
decent chance, I'm not sure why, but I can't really get ...

Ron Howard pulls out of Straczynski Project
16 Oct 2006 01:44:32 -0700
In case anyone doesn't read .mod, apparently Ron Howard has decided a
different project is more interesting that the Straczynski one and
pulled out of it.
Fear not, though, as there are apparently another handful of "a-list"
directors (where "a" stands simply for "available", I assume) ready to
take up the sl ...

reviews for their performances in Conor McPherson's new play *The
Seafarer* at the National Theatre.
STEVE, peering around the curvature o ...

Its a long time since I've posted (real life, kids etc) so I thought
I'd at least return vaguely on topic...
I came across the following article on The Register about an
invetigation of teh Epsilon Eridani system carried out by Hubble..
(nothing hugely exciting - they've decided thathere is evidence that

Worth keeping this group?
Tue, 26 Sep 2006 18:32:38 +0100
At the risk of upsetting folk, is it worth keeping this group?
4 posts in the last 30 days, none in September at all, only one of
which (thanks to Lars!) was vaguely on-topic, as far as Serenity is
on-topic.
My gut feel is that it might be best to let sleeping dogs lie, but I
don't like leaving moribund g ...
