Nobody has achromatic lenses in their eyes, i.e. red and blue need
different focus settings. The eyes of those under 40 adjust
automatically to suit the prevailing conditions, but pensioners like
me have lost the power of accommodation, and need different glasses
for different distances.

Am I totally miserable in hating this whole thing? The forced camaraderie,
equally false jollity, back slapping self congratulations and stars pushing
their faces in front of the camera - often to plug their own agenda (I'm

Elle has to sell the coffee shop. A multinational coffee shop chain was
interested. The chain was obviously based on Starbuck's. The name of the
