New Traffic Queues

It is great to see the traffic congestion between Great Clifton and
Papcastle, at the rush hours there is a crawling queue of traffic between
Great Clifton and Papcastle, which is at least five miles long ! !

I have just had time to watch the news and look at Allys
photos as well as the BBC web site. I sit here and sympathize
but it is the little things which bring it nearer to home.
The look on that young girls face walking over the bridge to school

Cockermouth Christmas lights

I'm just back from a very nice evening in Cockermouth. The Christmas lights
were supposed to be switched on on Sunday 22nd November - for obvious
reasons, that never happened. A lot of us assumed there just wouldn't be any
Christmas lights in town this year, but then the ones that hadn't been
affected by flood ...
