The jist of the question, is can you use Guitar Hero instruments in
Rock Band and Rock Band 2... WITHOUT any downloaded updates.
I know you can after (I do), but I have a friend of a friend who is

anyone playing this? I got it today and it seems okay but although I
spent a while installing it to the drive and make sure i click to play
from the drive the disc spins up when it says it's checking for
downloadable content or something and it stays spinning, so back to
loud thrumming noise instead of nice quiet ...
