Step 2:
Then you rearrange this number to get the maximum and minimum number
represented by these digits which will be 521 and 125 respectively.
Subtracting the smallest from the largest would yield 396 ...

If someone said that something had increased by "almost a third" one
would think that what was meant was that the thing had increased by a
little less than a third. Jonathan Dimbleby thinks that an increase
from five million to seven million (in the population of Hong Kong) is
