Ebuyer unbranded memory doesn't work - how do I even know I have the right stick?

In my Medion 8083, there are 2 sticks of Samsung and 2 of Elixir
memory, 256Mb each. 1Gb simply isn't enough these days, so I did lots
of research, found various configurators and read this page:

Back in December 2005 I bought a PC Power Supply from Novatech.
At 2 1/2 years into its 3 year warranty, the PSU failed.
Manufacturer (Hiper) agreed to a warranty repair & supplied an RMA
number, but stated that I had to include a copy ...

Does the allocated product go back into stock immediately? I have an order
with dabs and I have been allocated the last of a particular product that I
am thinking about transferring into a friends order... so I would have to
