USB and printing options
Mon, 18 Dec 2006 20:51:57 GMT
Having just had my printer die on me, and finding that printers with
good-ol' parallel interfaces seem almost to have vanished (everyone uses
USB, apparently) I was wondering what my options were (I have an Ultra 2,
with SCSI, SBUS, parallel output, but of course no USB).
One possibility would be to install a ...

in shells and gedit, except the pound sign, which displays
as a '?' in gnome-terminal, a '#' in an xterm, not at all in

10 on a spare system. There are obvious differences :-) I could spend time
trawling through the docs about the new commands, etc, but thought it

SunShack Sun hardware pic images uploaded to new galleries
Mon, 22 May 2006 20:04:26 +1000

Today I worked out a fairly painless way to import all of the Sun hardware
images in the galleries at "http://www.sunshack.org/data/sunpix.html" into the
new image galleries at "http://www.sunshack.org/gallery2". That's the easy
part. Next step will be changing all the old picture index pages ...

Hi everyone,
I've come up against what I think's an unsual problem with /lib/cpp under
Solaris 9... I've posted the following detail to the SunShack online forums
at "http://www.sunshack.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=51" but I'll post it here
