Report on broadband

Forgive my lack of techy expertise, but if virgin
broadband goes like greased weasel shit, why is their
newsgroup support, as dead as dodo do-does?

Tried to go online this morning and was greeted with "You are not
connected to the internet". Checked the router log and everything looked
as it should be except that the router obviously could not connect to
the time server to update date and time. Rebooted the router and it
apparently connected though nothin ...

Speed Tests

My VM connection has been worse than usual of late and I've been testing
the speed. However I have used two site with widely varying results and
wondered what is a reliable test. Speedtest.net has just given a speed
of 2.24Meg while thinkbroadband.com gave .5Meg. My feeling is that
